Our Code Coaches have the technical and subject knowledge to have an instant impact on the quality of computing at your school. Even if as a teaching team you are proficient in the delivery of computing our team can help create a real buzz around the subject with our Enrichment Sessions and Extra-Curricular activities.
Further to that we bring all our own equipment with us. This makes us a cost-effective way to raise the level of computing in your school, whilst giving young people the chance to explore new technologies and software. You also get access to over 300 hours of resources and materials!
These are incredibly popular as they tend to be parent paid and therefore free for the school. The clubs run half-termly and we run them for KS2 and KS1.
They include a range of different topics, including game building, robotics, stop-motion animation, web building, code quests, Minecraft challenges and many others.
We work in schools to deliver the curriculum. This is popular as both PPA Cover and CPD for teachers. The beauty of this method is that schools access our knowledge and equipment and can therefore accelerate their Computing Provision very quickly.
In the case of CPD we work with class teachers to grow their confidence in the delivery of the subject. We also work on strategies to embed coding and computing in wider subjects and school life.
We provide one-off enrichment and digital safety workshops for our schools. These can be used to highlight a certain computing curriculum area, for cross-curricular subject delivery or just as fun or reward sessions.
These sessions can be tailormade to fit in with the school’s requirements and we can provide evidence of learner work to demonstrate what the school is doing around the subject of computing and digital safety.
We run free, fully-funded clubs over the school holidays at venues across the UK. These clubs are intended for pupil-premium families, children at risk of isolation and young people who may benefit from social mobility and a meal during the holidays.
From coding, to sports, to arts and crafts, our holiday clubs combine 50% online activities and 50% offline. The clubs are aimed at bridging the digital divide, teaching young people about healthy lifestyles and providing a safe, social space for children and families that will benefit from any of these initiatives.
We really enjoyed the Jam Coding workshop. The children were excited and enthused by the project and activities they took part in and we look forward to welcoming the team to run after-school clubs next year.
St Mary's Primary, Gillingham
Since signing up with Jam Coding, the profile of computing has increased hugely with us now using the fantastic company for our own CPD needs, as we realised that this was an area to develop with staff. The staff are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and always punctual. The organisation of the leader Alan is commendable and nothing is ever too much trouble.
Oxhey Primary School, Stoke
The session run by you recently was incredibly well organised. It was pitched at exactly the right level, for our year group (year 6). For those who often struggle with their learning, everything was demonstrated by yourself and working in pairs allowed everyone to be successful. The kit provided was all clean, in working order and easy for the children to use. The children have said how much they enjoyed the session and wished they could have more sessions!
Shirley Warren Primary, Hampshire
In school we wanted to give computing a real boost but the cost of equipment and staff training was always a stumbling block. Jam Coding have come into our school and within a few sessions elevated the quality of work in computing. The children have loved the sessions which are far more sophisticated and challenging than we could have managed ourselves. Well worth it!
St Joseph’s Primary, Chorley
We really are lucky to have started this partnership with Jam Coding. Thank you for all your hard work.
Edison Primary School
The sessions were well planned out, delivered with confidence and enthusiasm and we had great reviews from both the younger and the older children. Both members of school staff were hugely impressed with the delivery of the sessions and gained some insight into areas of computing which we were otherwise unsure or unfamiliar with. Overall, amazing sessions delivered and we look forward to working with Jam Coding during the next academic year at school.
St Bartholomew’s Primary School, Kent
I wanted to email you to let you know how much my year 4s enjoyed the coding session you did with them. They learnt so much (so did I) and couldn't stop talking about it afterwards. The session was fun and easy for them all to access and all three of you were very good at answering all of their hundreds of questions and helping them.

All we need is a classroom and some children. We bring all the equipment and resources we need with us. That includes laptops, stop motion cameras, robots and much more.
You’ll be asked to distribute a digital flyer to the parents, but other than that, there’s no admin involved for the school. The flyer will include a link to the workshop so that parents can book directly onto it without having to consult the school. We then send you a copy of the register so you know who will be attending.
Yes, not only are they DBS checked all our staff go through our Safeguard Training and have a designated safeguard lead. We also use the safer school’s recruitment process for onboarding our staff.
This can differ depending on a number of factors, but we want to be as inclusive as possible. We offer a free Pupil Premium place on any of our workshops. We also run a pupil premium matched fund system. To find out the cost of a workshop in your school it is best to contact us.

Our content is ever changing but always backs into the curriculum and enriches it. Sometimes it will be coding specific and other times we explore more creative subjects. We have specialist equipment such as robots that we bring into the school with us too. We can also produce bespoke cross-curricular sessions to help embed computing.
