No. You do not need a teaching qualification to run a Jam Coding franchise. We provide comprehensive training, lesson resources, and ongoing support to help you deliver a high-quality computing education service. As your business grows, we can also support you in recruiting and training coaches to deliver sessions alongside you / on your behalf.
No. You don’t need to be a computing expert. Our induction programme, lesson plans, training resources, and ongoing support will give you the knowledge and confidence to run your business successfully. Many franchisees come from non-technical backgrounds and learn as they grow.
The hours involved depend on the franchise model you choose. Most franchisees initially commit around 40 hours per week while establishing their business. As your team grows and responsibilities are delegated, particularly within our Director model, this can reduce to around 15-20 hours per week focused on management, leadership, and business growth.
Any time can be a great time to start. We typically align franchise launches with the school calendar to help you gain momentum quickly. Starting during a school holiday can be particularly beneficial, as it allows time for training, planning, and securing bookings ahead of the new term.
You’ll be assigned an exclusive territory in an area convenient to you, defined by local postcodes and authority boundaries.

Yes, we include enough equipment for you to run a single session at a time. Once your company grows to deliver two sessions simultaneously you will need to purchase further equipment.
You can do this through our Head Office at a reduced cost.
You won’t be left to figure it out alone. We provide proven marketing systems, sales processes, and support to help you build relationships with schools, parents, and community organisations within your territory.
Our franchise agreement runs for five years, with the option to renew. This gives you a meaningful timeframe to build, grow, and scale your business with ongoing support from our team.
Provided both parties wish to continue the relationship and franchise standards have been maintained, franchisees have the option to renew their agreement and continue operating their Jam Coding business.
