CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY CLUB🎄✨
The Jam Coding Christmas Holiday Club provides a structured, engaging and creative holiday experience for children during the Christmas break.🎅✨
Sessions are designed to give children a balanced day that combines digital creativity, hands-on projects and physical activity, all delivered in a calm, supportive environment.
Across the day, children will enjoy a mix of activities including: 👾 Minecraft challenges and creative building tasks 🎮 Simple game making and coding activities 📸 Stop-motion animation and creative projects ⚽️ Regular movement breaks and physical games
Activities are age-appropriate and led by experienced staff, with a focus on creativity, teamwork and confidence-building.
While children will explore digital activities, sessions are carefully structured to include off-screen creativity, movement and play. This helps keep children active, engaged and supported throughout the day.
Jam Coding has been delivering holiday clubs and school-based computing activities since 2014. All sessions are led by trained staff, with:

Free HAF-funded places are available at our Brockmoor (near Brierly Hill) holiday club for children eligible for Free School Meals.
These places are funded through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. Families should select the Brockmoor Community Centre option when booking to view eligibility information and availability.

Monday 22nd December Christmas Stop Motion Animation! Lights, Camera, Festive Action! This Christmas, children will step into the magical world of animation and bring their festive ideas to life! They’ll: *Learn the basics of stop motion animation, just like the professionals. *Design and build jolly characters using plasticine, or bring along their favourite Christmas-themed Lego figures from home. *Team up to create storylines full of Santa, elves, reindeer, and snowmen. *Use digital tools to animate their merry creations and watch their Christmas stories come alive on screen.
Tuesday 23rd December Festive Robot Coding Adventure Teaming up to code and control real Christmas robots! This holiday season, children will work together to take on merry challenges — like helping Santa’s sleigh navigate the North Pole or guiding elves on a present-delivery mission! They’ll learn how to make their robot move, react, and complete festive tasks. Using fun, visual coding tools, this session is perfect for all abilities. It’s a brilliant way for children to discover how coding works in the real world – and how it powers the technology behind Santa’s workshop of the future!
Friday 2nd January Minecraft Escape Room Challenge! Using visual coding to complete a series of escape room puzzles inside Minecraft. Build bridges, solve tricky challenges, and unlock castle secrets. Working in teams to boost creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork skills in a fun and supportive environment. We will finish the day with a high-energy parkour finale, racing against the clock to escape the castle!

This Christmas we will be making our own festive computer games! * Learn the basics of computer game design * Team up to create the best game * Learn about creating point systems, controlling characters and designing the best characters. * Using digital tools to make the very best 3D computer game
