Monday Micro:bit Reaction Game Challenge On this day, children will get hands-on with Micro:bit and learn how to combine coding with simple electronics to create their very own reaction game! Using cardboard and tin foil, they’ll design and build two physical input switches – turning everyday items into real-life game controllers.
Once the controllers are connected to the Micro:bit, the challenge begins! The program will display a heart on the LED screen after a random countdown, and players must race to press their switch first. The clever coding uses Boolean logic to make sure no one can cheat by pressing early.
The children will discover how coding, electronics, and problem-solving come together, all while having fun competing in a head-to-head reaction game with their friends. And because the game runs in a loop, they can keep playing, testing their reflexes, and seeing who comes out on top!
This session uses visual coding, making it fun and accessible for all abilities. It’s a fantastic way for children to discover how coding works in the real world – and how it powers the technology of the future.
It’s a brilliant mix of creativity, music, and technology – perfect for inspiring young coders to see how coding can bring their ideas to life in fun and unexpected ways!
Friday Halloween Stop Motion Animation Lights, Camera, Spook-tacular Action! This Halloween, children will step into the world of animation and bring their spooky ideas to life! They’ll: Learn the basics of stop motion animation, just like the professionals. Design and build creepy characters using plasticine, or bring along their favourite Halloween-themed Lego figures from home. Team up to create storylines full of monsters, ghosts, witches, and pumpkins. Use digital tools to animate their spooky creations and watch their stories come alive on screen.
By the end of the day, they’ll unveil their very own Halloween mini-movie masterpiece – from script to scream! It’s the perfect mix of creativity, teamwork, and plenty of Halloween fun, all while building valuable digital and creative skills.
This October Half Term is a week bursting with unforgettable fun, excitement, and laughter… all with a secret dose of learning hidden inside (but don’t worry, we won’t tell the kids!).

My 9 year old son recently attended the holiday club in Camberley, Hampshire. He has SEN and often we struggle accessing and continuing with suitable holiday clubs (often clubs say they are fully inclusive/ accessible when you ring to enquire, but in practice they don't always want to make suitable adjustments). The staff at Camberley seemed absolutely fantastic, very patient and my son can't want to attend again soon. They also seemed glad to tailor the content a little when he raced through the initial content. A thumbs up from us.

My son who suffers from ADHD ODD and Autism joined this club this summer holidays. The team were amazing and supportive of his needs. He learnt so much and had so much fun he wanted to go everyday, he usually struggles with new environments or activities but there were no issues. I could not recommend this club enough for making it such an amazing summer of fun for my little boy. THANK YOU

My son has been attending Jam Coding sessions at his school. I would like to let you know how amazing Luke has been with him. My son has ASD and ADHD to mention a few and he has never been able to attend after school clubs as he has always been asked to leave after one or two sessions. But Luke has been brilliant so understanding and encouraging and my son has loved his time in the sessions. So thank you for employing someone as amazing as Luke who has so positively influenced my son's life.

My son attended Jam Coding sessions at Brompton Westbrook Primary during the school holidays. The staff running these sessions - particularly Luke - made my son feel welcomed and settled, and were happy to engage in games. My son genuinely loved the sessions and was absolutely buzzing each day when I collected him. The staff definitely further ignited a passion for coding/robotics and the sessions were so well put together. The sessions my son attended were progressive, so you build upon the knowledge from the previous session. This really suited my son, who gets bored easily with repetitive classes. I would recommend Jam Coding and would be happy for my son to go back!

My son has used Jam Coding for both after school club as well as a holiday club. He enjoys it so much that he opted to to the club after school on his birthday rather than go for pizza! The school club has a lovely element of competition, so the kids are being pushed to develop their skill set, rather than just play for an hour. My son really looks forward to the sessions. He also attended the holiday club this summer and we were so pleased with the thoughtfulness and professionalism of the staff managing it. He had a blast, met some new friends, and would have gone back for more sessions had they been running them for the last couple of weeks. Overall, I'm super happy with the offering from the Jam Coding crew, and I'm looking forward to seeing what they get up to over the next term!

My son absolutely loved this! It was exactly what he needed to break up the Easter holidays so that he was stimulated and able to make new friends. Having attended a few other activities and clubs during previous school breaks, it was a breath of fresh air for us as parents to actually have him request to go back each day!

My grand daughter has been attending Saturday code club and holiday clubs in Bedford since January. The coaches are brilliant and she's made some amazing new friends. She's very shy and finds it's hard to talk to people, but she's been welcomed so well and been placed in teams to learn together with other children which has helped her to develop her communication skills. She's learned how to build games, made stop motion animation movies, programmed robots and most of all had so much fun. Highly recommend Jam Coding to everyone!

My daughter has gone all week and really enjoyed it. They do a variety of activities and games, she had lots of fun and has learned some new things. The staff are great, really helpful and friendly. My daughter will definitely be going again.

Absolutely! Each day features a new winter-themed coding activity, so if your child misses a day, they’ll start something completely fresh the next time they attend. This way, every child can jump right in and be on the same page as their peers, no matter which days they join us.
Absolutely. At Jam Coding, inclusivity is at the heart of what we do, and we’re dedicated to creating a supportive environment for every child. Our staff are trained to engage young people with autism and other special educational needs, and we’re always open to collaborating with parents to ensure each session is enjoyable and beneficial. From our experience, children with special educational needs might feel anxious when parents first leave, but by the end of the session, they’ve usually made friends and feel right at home with us!
Of course! While we specialise in coding and computing workshops, we know the importance of a healthy balance between online and offline activities. Each day is structured to include a mix of coding sessions, creative crafts, and fun sports activities, giving children plenty of opportunities to stretch, get some fresh air, and enjoy screen-free time.
Early drop-off and late pickup are available for an additional charge.
In case of an emergency during the club, please refer to the contact number posted outside the door. Alternatively, you can email us at worcestershire@jamcoding.co.uk
