ABOUT THE TOPICS
In this workshop, children think logically, explore their creativity and solve problems whilst developing their Computing and Coding skills. Suitable for Minecraft experts as well as total newbies to the game. Build, craft and code in a fun, safe environment!
Children will learn to code and build their very own computer game. From Flappy Birds to Candy Crush, kids have consistently shown their ability to develop great games, and this workshop will teach them to do this. It will take learners through all the steps that real Game Developers use to create games. They design characters, add backgrounds, and use code to create their games using game development software. Game coding teaches children to work in teams, think logically and solve problems.
In this workshop, children will learn to design and code classic retro games such as Pong!, Asteroids, Space Shooter and Doodle Jump. Then it’s competition time! Can they beat their friends at their own game? Working in teams, they will create maps, characters and game code. An awesome workshop that teaches creativity and coding skills whilst having fun. At the end of the course, all children will receive a certificate and one team will receive a trophy!
