Code Coach, Luton

As a Code Coach, you will inspire primary school children to learn life-changing digital skills.

If you have:

  • A positive attitude and want to help young people succeed through teamwork, confidence building and exploration,
  • A sound general knowledge of IT/computers (full training given),
  • teaching qualification or teaching assisting qualification, experience of teaching or training young people (or be working towards),
  • Excellent communication skills, organisation skills and punctuality,

Jam Coding deliver outstanding computing and coding workshops to young people in the region. We are passionate about helping children to use and explore technology in a positive and constructive way. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team working part-time/full-time delivering computing and coding after school workshops in schools within the Luton area.

Full training will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to deliver outstanding and rewarding computing and coding workshops in a variety of formats. You do not need extensive prior knowledge in this area.

All candidates will need a DBS qualification to work within this job role. This can be ascertained on behalf of the successful candidate. Candidates must be able to drive to fulfil this role (mileage will be paid).

Hours:
We are currently recruiting for a part time member of staff working 2-10 hours per week in term times. Please apply if you can work less or more hours.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 – 10 per week

  • Monday to Friday

Experience:

  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
