Computing Teacher and Area Co-ordinator (Unqualified & Trainee’s Accepted)

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Jam Coding Team in the Kent area. We are looking for an ambitious newly qualified OR experienced individual to join us as a Computing Teacher and Area Co-ordinator (full training given) and help s to carry on reaching more young people in the area.

The opportunity is Full Time and Permanent and has excellent progression potential. The successful candidate will help with the delivery of Computing lessons in a number of schools across the Canterbury and Kent region (mileage paid) whilst helping to grow the provision in the area.

The core hours are:

  • Monday: 09:00am-17:00pm
  • Tuesday: 09:00am-17:00pm
  • Wednesday: 09:00am-17:00pm
  • Thursday: 09:00am-17:00pm
  • Friday: 09:00am-17:00pm

Please note we would consider hiring for part of these hours between two candidates. If you only have availability for some of these hours then please feel free to apply.

This role would suit a Teacher, Trainee Teacher, Teaching Assistant, or student looking to have a wider impact on the education of young people in the region.

Due to the varied (and interesting) nature of the role; It would also be suitable for a graduate in Business Studies or with experience in sales and presenting.

There are excellent progression opportunities for the successful candidate.

The work is available to start from October onwards and full training will be given to the successful applicant to enable them to deliver in each area of their job role. You do not need extensive prior knowledge in any area.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • A positive attitude to helping young people succeed through teamwork, confidence-building, and exploration.
  • A sound general knowledge of IT (Training on each workshop is given to each employee)
  • A teaching qualification, childcare qualification, teaching assisting qualification, or be interested in / working towards.
  • An excellent communicator who is well organised and punctual.
  • Some experience of working in client-facing positions.
  • The ability to drive with a car.

All candidates will need a DBS qualification to work within this job role. This can be ascertained on behalf of the successful candidate. Candidates would need to be able to drive to fulfill this role.

HOURS

The hours listed above are from October onwards. This is a Full-Time, Permanent Contract. some flexibility may be required. There are excellent growth prospects in the role.
