"I have to admit to being a little skeptical about how much uptake we would have for Jam-Coding as it's a paid club. I need not have worried. Great uptake and looking good for further clubs for the rest of the year. Thanks to Craig and the rest of our local team- excellent organisation and teaching!"

"Craig is a fantastic leader for the computer/coding/gaming based club! My son hates going to holiday clubs but he begged me to go to Jam Coding and to go back! Fun and friendly, it’s really nice to see a different kind of holiday club that caters to more interests than just sports. There are screen breaks and active activities too as part of the day. Top marks, we can’t wait for the next school holidays!"

Hi! I’m Coach Dawn, game and software development have been a passion of mine since I was small. It’s my belief that anyone can code, but they need: confidence and to be told they can, guidance to appropriate support and resources, and a creative and fun environment to foster their growth. I believe that coding video games is the correct place for anyone to start in programming as it is the medium with the fastest feedback as you can instantly see things happening, and also the process is very rewarding and enjoyable which ensures that it will stick in your head easier. I come from a background in art, programming, live video presentation, and being a retro game enthusiast and preservationist. Ever since my uncle introduced me to Blitz3D and Blitz Basic as a child I have been working hard in learning to program, starting in Game Maker Studio and Roblox, but more recently I have been moving on to Unreal Engine, Unity, and Godot. My dream is to be able to run a successful live stream and/or youtube series where I can educate people in retro gaming, and the pillars of game design: character design, environment design, storytelling and world building, and what makes mechanics fun. In my spare time when I’m not gaming I do 3d modeling and animation, and also hack and mod video games to create my own experiences and share those with others. I also sometimes create tools to aid other people in making their own mods.
